Oak Cliff's neighborhood Irish Pub

exterior

Cannon's Corner

Established in 2019 by a Dublin native , Cannon's Corner Irish Pub resides in a Tudor-style building from 1922, once known as Cannon's Village and previously housing Cannon's 5-Cent Store, thoughtfully revitalized in 2014. The name "Cannon," translating to "wolf cub" in Gaelic, signifies a spirited and resilient nature, a characteristic that continues to define the building as it now serves as a neighborhood pub, fostering a strong sense of community and steadfastness. Situated near the historic Kessler Theatre, Winnetka Heights, and Kessler Park, Cannon's Corner celebrates the area's rich heritage and vibrant creative community.

This is such a cute little hole in the wall here in Oak Cliff! I didn't expect much for it being an Irish pub, but I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and modern design of the bar. They had really great music playing, I was expecting them to gallop around to an Irish jig, but I thankfully, was wrong. They had a really great menu with what I am assuming are Irish classics, they do a great job at keeping with the theme. The bartender Jake was super sweet and took time to explain the drink menu and enlightened me on the different types of beer. Overall this is such a cute little spot and I will definitely be returning!

Awesome food - definitely recommend the chicken wings and fish and chips. Service is always great. Definitely a great Irish pub. Bars and pubs can sometimes have a stereotype of being unsafe rowdy places, but it's been a great vibe the couple times I've been. Will definitely come back - highly recommend.

Nice little pub with good food that hits the spot, tons of beer on tap, and my favorite; delicious cocktails.. My favorite being the expresso martini. Usually filled with friendly locals and decent music, it's a great place to head after work.
